Project Name: Sanofi Pasteur
Cloke-Kirby Construction undertook this project in October of 2006. The existing Pertussis (whooping-cough) facility was in need of expansion and total systems upgrade. The facility is one of only 2 facilities in the world to supply this specific vaccine, the other of which was shutting down on a specific date thus making the completion date of September 2007 non-negotiable. To complete this project the entire facility was required to be shut down. The process of building qualification and systems validation required a 3 month window in order to commence production.
Scheduling required evening shifts, 7 day work weeks, continuous coordination and seamless schedule phasing. The project was successful as Cloke-Kirby completed work on time and within the specified budget.
